REGULATION
PART I
DA ORGANIZAÇÃO
The sporting event 35th End of Europe Race (hereinafter referred to as “the Race”) is organised by the following entities:
Municipality of Sintra, legal entity no. 500051062, registered at the Lisbon Commercial Registry Office, headquartered at Largo Dr. Virgílio Horta, 2714-501 Sintra.
In collaboration with the following entity:
Podium Events, legal entity no. 504197088, registered at the Lisbon Commercial Registry Office, headquartered at Av. Eng. Duarte Pacheco, no. 19 – 6º Dto, Lisbon.
The above-mentioned entities (hereinafter jointly referred to as “the Organisation”) are responsible for organising the Race, which is to be held exclusively and obligatorily by duly registered participants, in accordance with the terms and conditions set forth in this Regulation.
A 35ª Corrida Fim da Europa realiza-se no dia 24 de maio de 2026.
Time:
1st Start – 10:00 a.m.
2nd Start – 10:15 a.m.
Start: Sintra – Volta do Duche, next to Fonte Mourisca.
Finish: Cabo da Roca.
Time limit: 2h30 to complete the race distance.
The two separate starts are intended to prevent overcrowding, as the first 4 kilometres of the route are uphill and cannot accommodate more than 2,000 participants without forcing the last runners to walk.
Any athlete starting at a time different from the one assigned during registration will be disqualified.
3.1 Participation Conditions
Participation is open to all duly registered individuals, regardless of nationality or gender, provided they are healthy and fit to engage in prolonged physical exertion.
The 35th End of Europe Race is a competitive road running event.
The route connects the town of Sintra to Cabo da Roca, crossing the Serra de Sintra throughout its entire length. Participants are advised that the course is winding, demanding, and technically challenging.
Given that participants have 2h30 to cover approximately 17 km, they must complete the first 5 km in less than 55 minutes and the first 10 km in less than 1h50. Any runners exceeding these times at the respective checkpoints will be considered outside the competition.
The organisation’s insurance coverage ends once the official race timing is closed (see point “5. Insurance” of this Regulation).
Participation using mobility aids (bicycles, skates, scooters, wheelchairs, etc.) or with animals or baby strollers is not permitted.
It is also forbidden to accompany participants along the route using any type of vehicle, motorised or otherwise.
3.2 Registration
3.2.1 Registration Type and Fees
Registrations are limited to 3,000 participants and are made exclusively via the website www.fimdaeuropara.com and are non-refundable.
There will be two start times:
During registration, each participant must choose one of the two available start times.
The assignment of start times will follow the chronological order of registration with payment confirmation. The organisation will announce when registration for the 10:00 a.m. start is full.

Ao valor da inscrição acresce a taxa bancária do meio de pagamento em função do meio de pagamento que o participante escolher (multibanco, VISA, MBWay, etc), O pagamento por transferência bancária é isento de taxas.
Só serão aceites inscrições com a opção de Transporte até ao dia 10 de maio de 2026 (inclusive).
As inscrições on-line encerram no dia 21 de maio às 20h00, salvo se for atingido o limite dos 3000 inscritos antes desta data.
Participants are reminded that running without a bib number, or using another participant’s bib, is strictly prohibited. Anyone doing so will not be covered by insurance and will be denied access to the official race transport and refreshment stations provided by the organisation.
3.2.2 Athlete Transport
BUS 1 (ANTES DA PROVA): Entre as 7h00 e as 8h30, terá um lugar disponível no autocarro oficial da organização, que fará o trajeto entre Azoia (2 km antes da meta) e Paços do Concelho.
BUS 2 (DEPOIS DA PROVA): Após a chegada do último atleta, terá um lugar disponível no autocarro oficial da organização, que fará o trajeto entre a Meta (Cabo da Roca) e Portela de Sintra (a 1 km da zona da partida).
BUS 3 (Lisboa – Marquês de Pombal — Alameda Edgar Cardoso & Regresso): Às 7h45 (última partida às 8h00), terá um lugar disponível no autocarro oficial da organização, que fará o trajeto até aos Paços do Concelho; Os pertences pessoais deverão ser entregues nos pontos indicados para esse efeito e não deverão ser deixados dentro dos autocarros; Após a chegada à meta, no Cabo da Roca, haverá autocarros de regresso a Lisboa; O regresso poderá ser efetuado em autocarro diferente do utilizado no trajeto de ida.
NOTE: Buses departing from Cabo da Roca towards Sintra will only leave after the official race time limit (2h30 after the second start), in order to ensure the SAFETY of all participants until the end of the event.
For all transport services provided by the Organisation, athletes must show their bib number when boarding. Depending on the number of athletes requiring transport at the end of the race, buses may need to make two trips between Cabo da Roca and Sintra, which could result in some delays for the last participants returning.
3.2.3 Age Categories
All athletes whose age on the date of the race falls within the ranges below may register for the 35th End of Europe Race:

* The minimum age for participation in the 35th End of Europe Race is 18 years (Juniors), included within the “Seniors” category.
3.2.4 Payment Methods
The available payment methods for participants residing in Portugal are:
Payments must be completed within 48 hours. After this period, the participant must request new payment details.
Participants residing outside Portugal may pay via PayPal or credit card.
3.2.5 Registration Closure
As inscrições poderão, eventualmente, ser encerradas antes da data atrás referida se for atingido o limite estabelecido neste regulamento.
The Organisation provides medical support to all participating athletes, with ambulances and first-aid teams available along the course, at the start, and at the finish line.
If emergency medical treatment requires follow-up, it will be carried out within the National Health Service, under its own responsibility.
Police forces are responsible for managing, planning, controlling, and removing unauthorised traffic along the course, as well as ensuring the safety of all participants.
The Organisation and the police authorities are not liable for any accidents or damages caused to third parties by participants.
All participants duly registered according to the procedure described in this Regulation are covered by personal accident insurance during the event.
This insurance includes an excess of €60, which is the responsibility of the insured participant.
The Organisation’s insurance responsibility ends once the official race timing has closed.

By registering for the race and accepting this Regulation, participants automatically authorise the Organisation to record, in whole or in part, their participation in the event. These images may be freely used for the promotion and communication of the race across all media platforms (television, radio, press, internet, posters, cards, flyers, photos, and videos). By registering, participants assign all image rights related to commercial and advertising use of these recordings, without entitlement to any financial compensation from the Organisation.
The Organisation holds the exclusive commercial and advertising rights of the Race, being responsible for negotiating and managing these rights on behalf and in the interest of all participants, sponsors, partners, and other entities.
The Organisation retains the exclusive right to receive, retain, and distribute all income resulting from the exploitation of commercial and advertising rights.
All contracts or commercial agreements related to the commercial exploitation of the Race must be strictly respected by the participants.
Participants must make every effort to ensure compliance with all obligations undertaken in this regard with the Organisation.
Unless expressly authorised by the Organisation, participants are strictly forbidden, during the event, to display advertising in any form or to promote companies, products, goods, equipment, or services.
Participants are solely responsible for any charges arising from the use, during or after the event, of registered trademarks, patents, or intellectual property licences.
Should the Organisation be held liable for any infringement of the above-mentioned rights by a participant, the latter shall indemnify the Organisation for all resulting costs and damages.
Participants must behave responsibly with respect to cleanliness and environmental preservation in all areas used during the event, from the course itself to the start and finish zones.
Throwing litter onto the ground before, during, or after the event is strictly forbidden.
Where applicable, participants must keep with them any waste from food or beverage packaging used during the race.
At the finish line and at refreshment points along the course, bins will be provided by the Organisation for the disposal of waste carried by athletes.
Various factors may require the Organisation to suspend, postpone, or cancel the event, or to change its locations, times, or route. In such cases, the Organisation shall not be held liable for any failure to perform and shall have no obligation to compensate any athlete, person, or entity, whether financially or otherwise.
By registering, all participants accept these regulations. In case of doubt or in the event of a situation not covered herein, they must contact the Organisation in writing to request clarification.
By ticking the confirmation box, the participant declares that they agree with the registration and participation rules in this Regulation, which is equivalent to declaring the following:
Any complaints must be submitted in writing to the Organisation, either at the event venue or within 24 hours after the race, to the email address: desp@cm-sintra.pt.
The Organisation shall not be held responsible for any injury, loss, or damage caused to participants or their property resulting from acts of third parties, nor shall it be held liable for unlawful acts beyond its control.
Any damage or loss caused to participants or their property will only be compensated if directly caused by the Organisation. In any case, the Organisation’s liability shall be limited to a maximum of twice the registration fee.
The Organisation shall not be liable for delays or lack of response from medical services, INEM, or ambulances.
The Organisation of the 35th End of Europe Race fully complies with the data protection laws currently in force. Athletes acknowledge and authorise the collection and processing of their personal data for administrative, commercial, and operational purposes related to the race.Participants’ names, race numbers, and final rankings will be published on the event website. Participants may request the correction or removal of their data by emailing: fimdaeurope@clubechronos.com. inscricoes@fimdaeuropa.com
By registering, the participant authorises Podium Events to contact them via phone, SMS, or email for purposes such as:
Without prejudice to the Participant’s right to exercise the rights previously mentioned, the Organisation shall retain the participant’s personal data and any data generated as a result of registration and/or participation in the sporting event for the duration of the event, as well as during the statutory limitation period for any legal actions that either party may bring.
Participants may exercise their rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, limitation, and portability under the applicable data protection laws by contacting: Podium Events S.A., Av. Eng.º Duarte Pacheco, nº 19, 6.º Dto, 1070-100 Lisbon, or via fimdaeurope@clubechronos.com. inscricoes@fimdaeuropa.com.
Without prejudice to the Participant’s right to exercise the rights previously mentioned, the Organisation shall retain the participant’s personal data and any data generated as a result of registration and/or participation in the sporting event for the duration of the event, as well as during the statutory limitation period for any legal actions that either party may bring.
Once this period has elapsed, the Organisation may retain the processed personal data for the purpose of identifying former participants in order to offer them discounts or promotional campaigns in future events, as well as to provide them with the Organisation’s products and services, whenever prior authorisation has been granted.
For further information regarding the data protection measures implemented by the Organisation, participants should consult the terms of the Privacy Policy published on the official event website at www.fimdaeurope.com.
By completing and validating the registration for the 35th End of Europe Race, participants acknowledge and accept this Regulation in its entirety, waiving any legal action against the Organisation arising from their participation.
Este regulamento pode ser alterado. Qualquer alteração, aditamentos ou introdução de eventuais anexos ao presente Regulamento serão publicados no site oficial do evento, os quais serão tacitamente aceites, caso no prazo máximo de oito dias contados a partir da data da publicação não se oponham a qualquer das normas introduzidas, desde que o façam por escrito para a organização através do email inscricoes@fimdaeuropa.com.
A Race Jury, composed of three Organisation representatives, will decide on applicable sanctions and on matters not expressly covered in this Regulation.
O presente regulamento revoga todas as disposições ou determinações anteriores.
16.1 Parking in Azóia
Parking is available at the old football field in Azóia.
Due to road closures between Azóia and Cabo da Roca, parking along this section will not be allowed.
16.2 Parking in Sintra
Os estacionamentos devem ser consultados no site oficial da Câmara em https://parking.sintra.pt/.
The race will start near the Fonte Mourisca in Volta do Duche, continuing along Rua Visconde de Monserrate, Praça da República, Rua Gil Vicente, Rua Maria Eugénia Reis Ferreira Navarro, Estrada da Pena, turning right onto Estrada dos Capuchos until the convent junction, then turning left towards Malveira, right towards Peninha, crossing the EN247 onto Estrada do Cabo da Roca, passing through Azóia and finishing next to the Cabo da Roca Lighthouse, covering a total distance of 16.945 metres, certified by CNEC/FPA.
The Organisation will provide refreshment points for all athletes at approximately 4 km and 9.6 km, offering water, and at the finish line, hot tea and solid foods. No refreshments will be allowed outside the official zones designated for this purpose.
The athlete’s race kit consists of an official technical T-shirt, a non-detachable Tyvek race bib with chip, and a bag-tag wristband.
Os kits de participação só poderão ser levantados durante os dias 22 entre as 11h00 e as 19 h00 e 23 de maio, entre as 11h00 e as 18h00 , na Decathlon Sintra, para os inscritos residentes nas áreas limítrofes ao concelho de Sintra: Cascais, Oeiras, Lisboa, Amadora, Odivelas, Loures e Mafra.
Os inscritos, e apenas esses, que residam fora do país ou nas áreas fora das áreas limítrofes do Concelho de Sintra, indicadas no parágrafo anterior, poderão levantar os Kits de participante, no dia e local da prova, entre as 7h30 e as 9h30; Para que essa entrega seja realizada com a maior eficácia possível será necessário o envio de um e-mail para: desp.actividades@cm-sintra.pt a solicitar a entrega do referido Kit de participante, no dia da prova, com indicação do nome do atleta e data de nascimento;
Collection of race kits requires presentation of the registration confirmation email, assigned bib number, and photo ID. Third-party collection is permitted only with a copy of the athlete’s ID card and the email confirming bib assignment.
The bib number must be worn visibly on the front of the torso.
The chip is coded individually and is personal and non-transferable.
The Organisation will not be responsible for incorrect timing results caused by negligent handling, incorrect placement, or damage to the chip.
The luggage tag must be visibly attached to the bag/backpack that the athlete wishes to send to the finish line.
The Organisation guarantees official race timing for all athletes through a chip timing system integrated in the race bib.
Timing starts when the athlete crosses the start line and stops upon crossing the finish line.
Results will include overall, category, real-time, and chip-time classifications.
The timing system will close 2h30 after the second start, with regular traffic resuming from 12:45 p.m..
During the race, checkpoints will be located at Km 10 and at the finish line to verify participant passage.
A mobile baggage service will be available to transport athletes’ bags to the finish area. Athletes are responsible for securely closing and labelling their bags to prevent loss of belongings or valuables.All bags must be clearly identified with the provided wristband and must be placed in the designated vans by 9:30 a.m. After this time, the Organisation will not guarantee the transport of any baggage.
The classification used for the awards ceremony will be based on the order of arrival of the first male and female athletes, regardless of their starting wave.
Within 24 hours after the race, a category classification will be published for reference only. These results will be based on chip time and will not determine prize awards.
For category classification, the recorded chip time (from start line to finish line crossing) will be used, regardless of the start time.
All participants will receive a Finisher Medal at the end of the race.
Awards will be presented according to the absolute classification, based on the order of arrival at the finish line, regardless of the start wave.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 male and female athletes in the overall classification. There will be no age-category prizes.
Prizes will be distributed only during the official award ceremony, and cannot be collected afterwards.
All matters not covered by this Regulation will be resolved by a Race Jury, composed of five members of the Organisation, who will decide on applicable sanctions and on all issues related to the race that are not expressly regulated or that may arise from misinterpretation of these rules.
